Echo seems to be a good brand in standard chain saws, string trimmers, and such, but I have never heard any comments on their pole saws. Search on here only turned up Stilh pole saws. The Hayauchi 390 is a very well made aluminum pole saw with locking pins and also collars so it cannot come apart while sawing. The blade is extremely sharp. Pole saw with rapid acceleration and easy starting E-TECH II engine. The versatile cutter head makes it easy to reach even dense trees and bushes without using a ladder or skylift. However, if you are looking to do light duty pruning, and are only planning to use your pole saw occasionally you can also look at a smaller saw. You may even be tempted to purchase an electric model, instead of a gas run model.
Safety considerations require that the pole saw user must wear a hard hat and eye protection at all times. Manufacturer Warning: Do not use aluminum telescoping pole saws around electrical power lines or equipment.
